How do I get a scholarship?
Scholarships are awarded as official recognition by the Board of the achievements of individual skaters, who meet eligibility criteria, and are not intended to reflect specific costs or expenses associated with training or competition. Scholarships may be awarded to skaters who qualify to compete in an eligible competition.
Am I eligible for a scholarship?
To be eligible for a scholarship you must:
- be a full, home-club member in good standing for a minimum of two consecutive seasons
- have all dues paid in full by July 1
- be current on required volunteer hours
- have qualified to an eligible competition
What are the eligible competitions?
- Excel National Final (Not Festival)
- National Showcase Finals
- NQS Sectionals
- National Solo Dance Final
- US Figure Skating Championships
- ISU International Competitions
How much money are the scholarships?
$150 for the first eligible competition and $75 for the second eligible competition per fiscal year.
